MotaWord Active’s integration with Google Tag Manager makes it easy to manage and deliver translations across your website in four simple steps. By using GTM’s flexibility, you can load translated content based on the user’s language preference, ensuring each visitor sees content comfortably. This setup enables faster translations and deployment of multilingual content, allowing you to create localized websites with no coding knowledge.
LEARN MOREGoogle Tag Manager is one of the most flexible and easy-to-use methods to alter your website’s behaviour without altering its original code. With MotaWord Active, you’ll gain access to excellent machine translations, optional human translation, editing, and proofreading processes, and worldwide reach. And all you have to do is add a tag to GTM, and we’ll take care of adapting your website for an international or multilingual audience.
Our integration works seamlessly, and you only have to follow four simple steps to set it up:
Begin by logging into your Google Tag Manager account and selecting the container where you want to add the translation functionality. Click on “Tags” and then select "New" to create a new tag.
In the “Tag Configuration” section, click on “Tag Type” and search for “Custom HTML.” Select the “Custom HTML” option to proceed.
Go to your MotaWord dashboard and copy the script provided for integrating MotaWord Active. Once copied, paste the script into the HTML field of your new Google Tag Manager tag.
Important Note: Google Tag Manager requires a simplified version of the MotaWord Active script. Ensure you remove all tags and referrerpolicy attributes from the script. The script should look like this:
<script src="https://serve.motaword.com/js/xxx-yyy.js" data-token="zzz" crossorigin></script>
MotaWord Active works by translating your content using our Machine Translation system. This initial translation is excellent whenever you’re expanding your website’s audience, entering a new market, or want to explore new options and opportunities in terms of SEO. However, for extra benefits, you have the option of having humans translate, proofread, and edit all of your content or just specific pages. This can help ensure brand elements, tone, and voice are fully adapted to your new target audience.
While Google Tag Manager (GTM) offers some integration options, it doesn’t support the full range of MotaWord Active’s features. This could affect your site’s localization performance. To ensure optimal website translation, we highly recommend manually adding the complete Active script from your MotaWord dashboard. But don’t worry, we can help you! Reach out to our 24/7 support team, and we’ll help you set up the script seamlessly so you can experience the full scope of MotaWord Active’s features.
